초록
This study analyzes convergence trends in sound-based somatic wellness technologies using patent big data and identifies a strategic white space for potential expansion into Digital Therapeutics (DTx). Following the COVID-19 pandemic, sound-based somatic wellness technologies have emerged as a promising non-invasive modality compatible with wearable and mobile platforms. A total of 882 valid patents from KIPRIS were analyzed via OS Matrix, cross-tabulating wellness objectives (sleep care, meditation/mindfulness, emotional stability, and cognitive activation) against technology methods (AI and big data, biofeedback, VR/XR/metaverse, acoustic specialized technology, and smart environment control). Patent applications surged after 2020, dominated by smart space control (47.3%) and biofeedback (30.4%). A strategic white space was identified at the intersection of acoustic specialized technologies and meditation/mindfulness, where market demand is confirmed but patent coverage remains limited, validated by four indicators: market growth rate (CAGR 14.67%), applicant diversity, low citation competition, and technological scarcity. To address this gap, the study proposes a biosignal-integrated active vocalization intervention system with three layers: an input layer for voice and HRV acquisition, a processing layer for AI-based autonomic state estimation and vocalization guide generation, and a closed-loop feedback layer delivering visual, auditory, and haptic responses. This model represents a paradigm shift toward active somatic engagement as a next-generation DTx direction.
