초록

This study proposesan educational approach that allows foreignlearners studying advanced Korean language and Korean studies tolearn Korean traditional culture, values, etc. comprehensively usingPark Kyongni’s Land as an educational material. In Section 2, theconcept of interculturality and Bennett’s learning process arereviewedto examine the theoretical background for improving foreign learners’intercultural understanding and communication skills. In Section 3, amethod to assist advanced Korean learners in understanding Koreanculture through Park Kyongni’s Land is analyzed from the perspectivesof specificity and universality. Finally, Section 4 presents a five-stepapproach to assist foreign learners in understanding Korean culture,with emphasis on Part 1 of Land . This study is meaningful in thatit enables foreign learners toindirectly experience other cultures throughnovel education, thereby improving their intercultural communicationskills, increasing their understanding and empathy for others, andenhancing their adaptability to society.
