『고조선단군학』 25년의 성과와 활용 방안

초록

This paper reviews the research trends of The Journal of Gojoseon&Dangun Studies, published by the Gojoseon&Dangun Studies Association over the past 25 years. Additionally, it briefly discusses how the accumulated research achievements of this academic journal can be utilized in the future, as well as the current challenges facing our society. To begin, the total of 477 articles published from the inaugural issue in 1999 to Issue 54 (August 2024) were analyzed, categorizing them by the number of articles published annually and by research topics. The analysis revealed that the research trends of The Journal of Gojoseon&Dangun Studies, can be divided into four phases: the Founding Period (1999–2002), the Expansion Period (2003–2014), the Transitional Period (2015–2020), and the current Consolidation Period (2021–present). Furthermore, this study proposes five strategies for utilizing the research outcomes of the journal: ①revamping the website (building an academic database) and publishing e-books, ②compiling a Comprehensive ‘Gojoseon&Dangun Series’ in response to the expansion of research fields, ③creating sections for the presentation of research by emerging scholars, ④deepening understanding of the research achievements of North Korean academia, and ⑤analyzing recent historical perspectives within the pseudohistory scholarship.
