- Abstract
- Conference of the Parties(COP21) adopted the Paris Agreement in 2015, and 167 countries joined and have conducted the global effort to decrease greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions. Korea has announced its intention to reduce GHG both domestically and internationally Since 2009. It is necessary to increase the contribution not only from the industrial sectors, but also from non-industrial sectors such as households and commerce in order to achieve the goal of reducing GHG emissions. One of the most important area would be to focus on the apartment houses where 75% of the population live. This paper is a study to develop a standard checklist and system that can directly or indirectly reduce GHG emissions from various facilities related to common parts in apartment houses. I started with defining the characteristics and reduction points of common areas to develop calculation methods of the amount of emission and developed a reduction checklist and system for the actual GHG reduction. Ultimately, the objective of this study is to enable non-industrial sector to voluntarily identify the actual situation of GHG emissions from common parts in apartment houses and implement activities to reduce the GHG emissions.
