21世纪汉语中的外来字母词生命力分析 ―以2001年-2018年的外来字母词为中心―

Abstract

Since the 21st century, with the development of economic globalization and the continuous improvement of information technology, the connection between China and other countries has been increasing, and language communication has become closer and more frequent. During this period, in order to fill in the lack of information and adjust the inequality of information, we adopted the form of acronyms to downgrade English phrases to words, by borrowing a lot of foreign letter words. In the beginning of the 21st century, some of these foreign letter words Shows strong vitality and high popularity, and can be included in dictionaries; while some have low vitality and are used at a low frequency. As a result, the research focus is move on vocabulary with stronger vitality. This paper combines the latest 『Modern Chinese Dictionary (7th Edition)』(『現代漢語詞典(第7版)』) to carry out a quantitative study on the vitality of foreign letter words from 01-18. Firstly, find out all the foreign letter words produced in 01-18. Then compare and found that a total of 23 words with foreign letters from 01-18 years are included in this Dictionary. Then, with these 23 foreign letter words as representatives, starting from the combination of vocabulary, substitution, field, year of borrowing, the paper studies the characteristics of the foreign letter words included in the dictionary. Research has found that most of the foreign letter words included in this Dictionary are closely related to some specific fields, and more than 80% of the words are invented in a specific period of time; and the overall shows a low substitution. The author believes that in the future foreign letter words has a great prospect.
