Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the experiences of postpartum women to provide foundational data for the development of an effective postpartum care application.

Methods: A qualitative research design was adopted, and in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 postpartum women. The interviews were analyzed to explore patients' experiences and needs during the postpartum period. Results: 1. Postpartum women expressed a need for a more personalized, accessible, and reliable source of information related to postpartum care. 2. The most frequently mentioned concerns were physical recovery, emotional well-being, and infant care. 3. Patients emphasized the importance of a community feature in the application to connect with other postpartum women for shared experiences and support. 4. Personalized care suggestions based on specific symptoms and conditions, such as breastfeeding issues or postpartum depression, were identified as essential features. 5. Patients emphasized the need for continuous monitoring and progress tracking, such as weight management and mental health support.

Conclusions: The experiences and needs identified in this study will serve as valuable insights for the development of a postpartum care application that offers personalized, holistic care, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of postpartum recovery.
