| dc.description.abstract | A Warehouse Management System(WMS) is designed to enhance the accuracy and speed of complex logistics operations, improve operational efficiency, and deliver optimal customer service by facilitating the seamless flow of logistics information. However, research on WMS implementation in Korea's agricultural and food logistics sector remains limited. This study analyzes the critical success factors for the effective implementation of WMS in agricultural and food logistics centers, with Hansalim serving as a case study, and aims to provide insights for promoting broader adoption. The study categorizes the success factors into four main dimensions:Vision and Goal Setting, Development Capability and System Design, Systematic Execution and Stabilization, and Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration. Key sub-factors identified include Team Composition and Competence for System Development, Standardization of Product and Logistics Information Systems, and Post-implementation Stabilization and Advancement. The findings reveal notable differences from manufacturing-centered studies, reflecting the complexity of agricultural and food logistics and the unique organizational culture of the study context. Developing logistics information systems such as WMS requires significant time and financial investment. Identifying key success factors, establishing systematic plans, and adopting a structured approach are crucial for enhancing logistics accuracy, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction with logistics service quality. This study contributes to the field by extending logistics research, traditionally focused on the manufacturing sector, to the agricultural and food distribution sector. By identifying success factors for WMS implementation in agricultural and food logistics centers, it highlights the unique challenges and considerations of this context. Future research should explore WMS success factors and outcomes across diverse agricultural and food logistics centers to derive broader policy implications. | - |
