- Abstract
- This study is conducted to find ways to improve distribution efficiency through the expansion of livestock products’ grading on eggs. The economic effects of livestock products’ grading on eggs is analyzed. The benefits of the operator following the implementation of the self-quality evaluation system are estimated. The data of the Korea Institute for Animal Products Quality Evaluation (KAPE) are analyzed using the Equilibrium Displacement Model (EDM). The economic effect of the operation of livestock products’ grading on eggs is found to be 11.04 billion won in 2019. If the ratio of livestock products’ grading is expanded to 10~50% the economic effects are estimated to be 14.15 billion to 70.76 billion won. In addition, the cost-saving effect of the self-quality evaluation system is calculated to be about 46.8%.
