- 프라더-윌리증후군(Prader-Willi syndrome; PWS)은 흔히 수면호흡장애를 동반하는데; 중추성수면무호흡; 폐쇄성수면무호흡; 수면저환기장애(sleep-related hypoventilation disorder); 저산소증 등이 포함된다.1 중추성수면무호흡은 2세 미만의 PWS 영아들에서 특징적으로 보이며 폐쇄성수면무호흡보다 빈번히 발생하며; 나이가 들면서 대부분 좋아진다.2; 3 2세 이상의 PWS 소아에서는 폐쇄성수면무호흡이 더 흔하게 동반된다.3 다른 수면 증상으로 과다주간졸림증도 PWS 환자에서 흔히 볼 수 있는데; 폐쇄성수면무호흡에 대한 치료를 해도 주간졸림증은 지속될 수 있다. 일부 환자에서는 시상하부의 기능이상으로 인해 과다졸림증이 생기며; 다른 환자들에서는 기면증과 유사한 표현형을 보이기도 한다.3; .
