This research evaluates the effect of a meditation class on the mental health of college students, conceptualizing the psychological condition of positive change in Korean traditional meditation. The state of mental health, analyzed by its core values, includes self-identity, concentration on attention, stress, adaptation to college life, academic motivation, academic performance, suicidal thinking, social support, spirituality, self-efficacy, self-esteem, depression, and hope. These 13 concepts are analyzed using standardized tools from a mental and emotional perspective. Students’s survey responses were analyzed through the SPSS program before and after the meditation classes. Although not highly correlated, spiritual wellbeing showed a statistically significant positive correlation with self-esteem, awareness of religion, and authenticity of meditation. Based on the above results, ways to improve the self-respect, spiritual wellbeing, and mental health of college students are suggested.-
