Abstract
Efficient harvesting of triplet excitons in organic molecules is crucial for developing high-performance X-ray scintillators and X-ray imagers. High-performance organic scintillators based on thermally activated delayed fluorescence ( TADF) have been recently demonstrated, allowing the triplet excitons to generate a high light yield under X-ray illumination. These TADF organic molecules outperformed the benchmark anthracene-based scintillators.
