| dc.description.abstract | 오늘날 사회문제에 대한 근원적 해결책은 공감의 형성이라는 인식이 확대되고 있으며, 다양한 영역의 논의에서 공감에 대한 중요성이 회자되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 황동혁 감독의 <오징어 게임>(2021)을 중심으로 하여 해당 작품에서 기억을 활용한 공감이 어떻게 표현되는지에 대해 허쉬의 포스트메모리 이론을 기반으로 하여 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과, <오징어 게임>(2021)은 매체적 특성을 잘 살려내어 과거의 게임들이 제공하는 노스탤지어적 공포, 그로 인한 추억의 향수를 불러일으키는 장치를 마련하였다는 점, 극중 다양하게 펼쳐진 반전적 사건들이 모두 개개인들의 기억에 기반한 관람자의 공감을 이끌어 내는 장치가 되었다는 점, 마지막으로 누구나 당연한 사실로 치부할 수 있는 과거의 사실과 경험들이 주체에 따라 다르게 해석되고, 이 다른 해석들이 하나로 집대성되어 하나의 성공적인 공감을 이끌어 내었다는 점에 기억의 효과적인 활용성이 돋보인 작품이었다. 즉, 본 연구에서 주목한 <오징어 게임>(2021)의 사례는 이러한 공감이라는 가치를 기억의 전승구조를 통해 효과적으로 구현해 낸 장치를 마련하고 있었다. | - |
