dc.description.abstractWe report that the planar AlCl4 clusters in graphite reported in [Electrochim. Acta 195 (2016) 158-165] are not justified from the point of view of theory and their fast diffusion in graphite has nothing to do with the ultrafast rate capability of Al-ion battery in experiments.
