| dc.description.abstract | This paper proposes a new thyristor gate driving circuit for current source inverters. The proposed method exploits a gate driver IC based on a push-pull circuit instead of pulse transformers and additional switching devices in a conventional gate driver circuit. The results confirmed that the proposed circuit’s volume is significantly reduced compared with the conventional circuit, and experimental results reveal that, despite its smaller size, the proposed circuit can turn on thyristors adequately as designed. | - |
