Abstract
The science has been developed rapidly, and the techniques are shared extensively. Now, it is the time for culture prosumer, when users produce contents with a variety of devices and distribute on internet. The teenagers also produce their own video in order to meet their desire for creation, and share it on SNS such as Youtube, or Facebook. Now many classes are prepared for them as a part of culture and art education, and the practical education on film is included. However the analysis on the present condition and the researches on strategies are not studied much enough. This study aims at revitalizing film’s practical education as a culture art education and developing it. Therefore the present condition and practical learning environment are researched, and the problems are derived in order to propose the strategies for improvement. The present condition is researched based on the preliminary studies. The problems in detail are derived through the in-depth interview with teachers and film experts. The instruction time and ratio are searched within the subdivided field of culture and arts education. As a result, as students get into the higher grade or higher school, the time and ratio decrease. The elementary school and middle school students are educated only in the passive way such as watching movies. The class on the broadcasting is opened in high school. The class on the film is just about watching movie, and the broadcasting cannot be considered as a specialized film education or video production class. As a result of the in-depth interview, all of the interviewee answered that the film’s practical education is necessary and important. But the necessity and importance are not recognized by the authorities, so the education is not operated properly. Because of this, the education budget cannot be achieved and the infra is not established yet. Therefore the facilities and devices are not available now. They pointed out that the systemic education system should be established and the qualified education program should be developed for the student’s interest and creativity improvement. Based on the problem referred on the interview, the five strategies are proposed. First, the systemic infra establishment for the practical film education, establishment of devices and facilities for practical class, establishment of specialized teacher’s organization, development of textbook and program for each level of school, and collaborative education for developing self-esteem, human nature and creativity. The students can grow from passive consumer to creative producer with the practical film education as culture and arts. As of now, the video dominates the letter and image. The value is extensive, expected for the students understanding the film as a genre, and learning practical film production.
