| dc.description.abstract | 영화 미학은 형식과 양식의 상호작용을 통해 완성된다. 형식과 양식이 유기적으로 상호작용하지 않고, 양식이 형식에 지배당한 영화는 관습적이다. 인물의 대화 장면에서 보편적으로 사용되는 쇼트/역쇼트가 그 대표적인 예이다. 많은 영화에서 쇼트/역쇼트 기법을 단순히 내러티브 전개를 위한 수단으로 사용하고 있다. 그러나, 쇼트/역쇼트 기법은 감독의 연출에 의해 형식과 유기적으로 상호작용하는 양식으로써 거듭날 수 있다. 본 논문은 쇼트/역쇼트의 이론적 배경 및 실제 작품에 적용된 사례를 바탕으로, 오버 더 숄더 쇼트의 미학적 가능성을 논의하였다. 고레에다 히로카즈 감독은 영화 <바닷마을 다이어리>에서 쇼트/역쇼트 기법 중 하나인 오버 더 숄더 쇼트를 효과적으로 연출하여, 형식과 양식이 조화된 발전적 영상미학을 구축하였다. 인물이 마주보는 각도, 카메라의 위치와 방향을 변형한 <바닷마을 다이어리>의 오버 더 숄더 쇼트는 내러티브 전개 기능과 더불어 인물 관계의 단절과 소통, 나아가 영화의 내러티브를 관통하는 주제까지 효과적으로 표현한다. | - |
