Abstract
Mall built in USA since the mid-'50s was composed of centripetal and centrifugal, and it experienced transformation process and changed into new unity of juxtaposition and complex which incorporated centripetal and centrifugal. Meantime, similarity in such transformation of mall can be confirmed from agora and forum in Greece and Rome; and, through similarity in such transformation, this study intends to discuss what the true character of things is. Also, based on the meaning of the true character, it reviews the theory of context which is the ground of change interpretation in existing researches. In addition, it aims to review the view that symbolism released from Façade is a priori and is important for commercial construction plan and to review whether the definition of the concept that “Façade of a building takes charge of symbolism and inside takes charge of function or sociality” actually brought about diversity to commercial construction plan.
