Abstract
This study focuses on the architectural planning for the post-disaster refugees housing. This research for the spatial configuration of the post-disaster refugees housing is conducted on the basis of spatial prototype according to the point of view of temporary, short-term and mid-term. The contents of this paper is developed as follows. First, this paper considers the necessity of spatial planning to improve post-disaster refugees housing with social, economic and architectural points of views. And this study suggests the planning elements to be derived from architectural and environmental constraints of the post-disaster refugees housing. Second, this study analyzes the proper types of post-disaster refugees housing. And to satisfy its residing conditions this research reviews the basic and physical needs as well as the social and cultural needs of refugees. As the recovery time of the disasters and accidents is significantly different according to the damage extent of the refugees, this study categorizes the types of post-disaster refugees housing as temporary PDRH(post-disaster refugees housing), shot-term PDRH and permanent PDRH according to the spatial configuration of the proposed unit plan.
