| dc.description.abstract | The construction operation technology is hardly applied due to lack of feasible information on construction performance under various situations which site conditions are reflected. Performance prediction on the targeted technologies to be applied and a performance evaluation method are accordingly required to resolve problems with the onsite application. The objective of this research is to propose an analysis methodology comparing and evaluating the predicted productivity and cost of the onsite application of the targeted construction process, steel staircase system method, and of the reinforced concrete staircase method, using a construction simulation technique as a sensitivity analysis tool. To achieve this objective, a construction simulation based on the data collected at job sites that are applying the two aforementioned construction methods was performed. The results of the sensitivity analysis have been speculated on under the supposition that the two cases were installed with one to three staircases. The deduced hourly productivity and unit cost had prediction values for each case, based on which the performance levels of the two construction methods in various cases were predicted and compared. The methodology proposed in this research is applicable to the performance evaluation of advanced construction technologies with absolutely insufficient raw data. | - |
